- As you initiate the scissor takedown, your leg sweeps behind your opponent's target leg, while your hand hooks behind it instead of posting on the mat.
- Ensure you hook the leg rather than just grabbing it to avoid a strength contest between your arm and their leg.
- As you land, position your opponent's leg on top of your ankle, pull it close, and secure the grip.
- Grab your own jacket to stretch out your opponent and execute the kneebar. Keep them close to you with this grip to make it more uncomfortable for them.
