About this video
Execute a drop shoulder throw (Seoi Nage) from the sleeve opposite lapel grip by getting both feet between the opponent's feet. Take a small penetration step and turn, pulling the opponent's arm over the other arm.
- Start with a grip on the sleeve and the opposite lapel.
- Position both feet in the finishing position between the opponent's feet.
- Take a small penetration step without overextending.
- Turn and pull the opponent's arm over the other arm.
- Drive the front foot deep underneath the opponent and drop to both knees, not staying on the front foot.
- As you come down, curl up as if performing a forward roll on the shoulder to bring the opponent down with gravity and body weight.
- After the throw, transition to a pinning position on the mat to maintain control and prevent the opponent from rolling away.
- Keep the grip throughout the throw to ensure control and finish in a dominant position.
