About this video

Initiate the technique with a sitting throw from a two-on-one Russian grip, focusing on transitioning directly into a shoulder lock. Maintain proximity to the opponent after the throw to ensure control.

  1. Keep the opponent's arm connected to your body, emphasizing the concept of body versus limb for control.
  2. Apply a bridge using your chest and hips to subtly execute the shoulder lock. The movement does not require excessive force.
  3. Positioning is crucial; you must be under the opponent's armpit to effectively bend their arm during the lock.
  4. As you perform the sitting throw, your body's motion will naturally start to turn the opponent's arm, setting up the lock.
  5. After completing the throw, stay close to the opponent, hugging their arm and keeping it tight against your body.
  6. Place your feet correctly, bridge slightly, and secure the shoulder lock without needing a large bridging motion.

The shoulder lock is seamlessly applied from the two-on-one Russian grip as part of the takedown, making the opponent's arm an extension of your own movement.
