About this video
Utilize the C-grip to control your opponent's pants at the edge, using spider-like fingers to push the leg down and prevent them from stepping on your biceps. On the side you intend to pass, apply this grip.
Simultaneously, use a C-grip on the opponent's ankle, pushing the leg down and closing your elbow to block lasso or bicep control. Apply pressure with your torso against their legs.
The leg movement remains the same as with other passes, but the grip changes. As one leg comes in, the other goes out. Show your legs and drag the opponent's leg across while maintaining the C-grip.
As you begin to pass the line of your biceps, drag the opponent's leg to the mat with the C-grip and drop your chest down to stabilize in side control. Release the C-grip and block the hips.
Set up both grips simultaneously, not sequentially. Observe the opponent's legs, establish your grips, and with one elbow closed and the other applying pressure, execute the leg work. Drag the leg and as the knee passes your arm line, push the leg down and secure side control.
