About this video
Executing a variation of the Crazy Dog Pass against a strong knee shield in the Reverse De la Riva:
- Start in the Reverse De la Riva with the opponent's frame in place. Swing your arm and secure a grip on the opponent's collar.
- With your other hand, reach under the opponent's leg and grab the end of their pants to establish a firm grip.
- Lean forward onto the opponent's frame, using your shoulder for pressure and keeping your forehead down on the opponent.
- Begin to slide your knee over the opponent's shin and walk to the side to escape the Reverse De la Riva hook.
- If the opponent's knee shield feels strong, continue walking towards the north-south position.
- Jump over the opponent's leg, trapping it with your leg in a leg weave position, while maintaining control of the hips.
- Lean forward to apply pressure and then use a wind swiper motion with your leg to hook the opponent's leg.
- Bring your knee close and heel to your buttocks to extend the opponent's leg, gaining control over both legs.
- Keep your head down and raise your hips to slide into a leg drag position, securing control.
Repeat the process to ensure a smooth transition from the Reverse De la Riva to the leg drag position, overcoming the knee shield and gaining upper body control.
