About this video
Executing a knee slice pass from Reverse De La Riva with a knee shield involves the following steps:
- Maintain the same collar grip as usual, but use your elbow against the opponent's leg and palms facing up to smash and trap their leg.
- Keep the grip on the opponent's knee and push it towards your own knee.
- Place your forearm on top of the opponent and use your toes to lift your hips slightly, allowing you to slide your knee over their shin.
- Once you clear the Reverse De La Riva hook, back up slightly and push both of the opponent's legs down.
- Walk to the other side and start bringing their leg over yours. Use the lapel grip to pull both legs over your leg.
- When you achieve the leg drag position, release the grip and grab the other side of the collar to stabilize the position.
- You can maintain both grips on the lapel or slide to control the collar to further stabilize.
This technique focuses on making the position uncomfortable for the person on the bottom and using the lapel to control and pass the guard effectively.
