About this video
Forcing an inversion from spider guard when the opponent's legs are bent and applying pressure on your biceps:
- Change your grips from on top of the opponent's legs to underneath, with your elbows tucked in.
- Drive the opponent's legs behind to make them go upside down, then push one leg to the mat.
- Walk to the side, trapping the opponent's leg with your knee over their knee and your other knee supporting their hips.
- Break the opponent's grip on your biceps by pushing it with your knee, then switch your grip to a cup grip on their leg, keeping your elbow connected to your body.
- Control the opponent's hips with your free hand, using four fingers inside their pants, and close your elbow.
- Instead of dragging the leg to the side, drag it over your lap, pulling the opponent up and pinching your knees to control their hips and prevent them from recomposing guard.
- Release the grip on the leg, grab the opponent's collar, close your elbow, and slide down to stabilize in the leg drag position.
