About this video
Executing the Crazy Dog Pass against Reverse De La Riva with knee shield:
- Begin by establishing a grip on the opponent's collar with one hand, swinging the arm to secure it, and pushing against them to create pressure.
- With the other hand, grab the opponent's pants. If difficult to reach, you can grip the top of their knee, but ensure to push the leg down.
- Lean forward, placing your shoulder on top of the opponent's frame to apply pressure and nullify their framing ability.
- Lift your hips slightly and slide your knee over the opponent's shin, using your toes for movement. Keep your knee off the mat to prevent the opponent from pushing you away.
- Walk towards the opponent, keeping their leg trapped, and then start walking your hips back to flatten their bottom leg using your grip.
- Continue walking to stabilize control, then release the grip and secure the position.
- Alternatively, as you walk towards the opponent, you can extend your arm and transition to knee on belly. Release the grip and control the hips to stabilize the opponent.
