About this video
Back take from deep half guard:
- Start by controlling the opponent's knee and wrist, pushing their arm against your hips for control.
- Place your hands on the mat for balance, drop one knee down, and begin to lift your other leg.
- Slide your shin over the opponent's head, pinching your knees together.
- Drop your hips to the mat while maintaining the wrist grip, creating discomfort like a shoulder lock.
- Lean to the side, placing your hands on the opponent's hips.
- Use your leg as a hook on their leg, keeping your hips on top of their shoulder to maintain pressure.
- With a grip on the pants, pull the opponent towards you and slide your knee out to take their back.
- As you release the grip, control the opponent's arm, hip escape out, and establish a seatbelt grip to secure the back position.
