About this video
This is a demonstration of the Toreando Pass, also known as the "Drive the Truck" technique.
- Start by making a grip on top of your opponent's shin. Extend your arms and perform a "drive the truck" motion on their knee to confuse them about which side you're going to.
- Increase your speed to pass the side you decide on. The grip should be on top of the shin. When grabbing the gear, use a slap and grab motion instead of trying to reach the material directly.
- Push the knee towards the opponent's chest and ensure your arm is positioned correctly. Your leg should be in the same position as in the last drills - pinch your knees and squat down.
- Perform the "drive the truck" motion, moving your opponent's hips to confuse them about which side you're going. When you decide on a side, push the knee down.
- If you decide to go to your right side, drive and keep pushing their knee towards the mat. Drag their leg and perform the leg work - one, two, drag the leg, drop the knee, and stabilize the control.
- Repeat the process if you decide to go to the other side. Make sure your legs are positioned correctly, squat down, and pinch your knees. Slap their leg, make a grip, and start driving the truck.
- When you decide to go, ensure that if you're going to the left side, the right knee goes close to the shoulder and the left knee is a bit lower. Drag and show your legs - one, two, drag, and go to the side control.
