About this video
When an opponent pulls your leg and you're unable to break their grip, it's essential to hide your elbow and pulse it to come up into a position where your frame can push them away, giving you leverage and a stronger knee shield. To regain control:
- Use your toes to pivot and place your knee on the floor, which helps in breaking the opponent's grip on your leg.
- If the opponent maintains their grip, bring your knee close to your chest and retract it to position both legs out, ensuring your safety.
- With both legs free, you can transition to the closed guard, effectively neutralizing the threat and escaping the compromised position.
- Throughout the process, maintain a strong frame to keep the opponent at a distance and prevent them from closing in on you.
This technique allows you to recover from a potentially dangerous situation by using leverage, positioning, and the strength of your frames and knee shield.
