About this video

Executing a roll through knee bar from the lasso with a butterfly hook:

  1. Start in the lasso position, controlling the opponent's sleeve and collar, and place a hand on their leg.
  2. When the opponent stands up a leg to prevent a sweep, use the butterfly hook to initiate the roll.
  3. Transition into a turtle guard-like position, maintaining contact with the opponent's thigh using the left leg.
  4. Release the collar grip and bring the elbow out, placing the right leg across the opponent's other leg to trap it.
  5. Drive the head between the opponent's legs and extend your legs to catch their leg for the knee bar.
  6. Instead of closing a triangle, spread the opponent's legs to prevent them from twisting out of the knee bar.
  7. For the first finish, bend the knee to push the hips forward, pulling the opponent's leg towards the chest and securing the foot between the forearm and biceps to apply pressure on the Achilles tendon.
  8. For an alternative finish, bring the opponent's leg to the side and control it, placing your hand on the thigh.
  9. Twist the knee slightly, place the right leg on top and under your own knee, and squeeze your thighs together to apply pressure.
  10. Ensure the squeezing leg creates additional pressure and close the elbow tightly for the finish.
  11. Keep pushing down with the leg that's turning to secure the knee bar.

These techniques offer two effective finishes for the knee bar from a lasso with a butterfly hook, emphasizing control and pressure to prevent escape.
