About this video
Here's a breakdown of the Turtle - Leg Drag technique from the Lasso position:
- Start in the lasso position. If your opponent stands up, turn sideways and bring both legs inside. Use your elbow to sit up, keeping your right knee on the ground and maintaining pressure.
- Dive your head inside your opponent's legs, but open your knee. Do not extend your legs. This will lead you almost to their back.
- Grab your opponent's pants and start to bring them back. It's preferable to grip the pants rather than the belt, as the belt can be loose.
- As you bring your opponent back, let go of the grip on their hand and go for the leg drag position. Bring your opponent into the air and switch your grip to as close as possible to their hips.
- Bring your opponent's hips outside, then come inside, grab their head, pull them back, and stabilize into side control.
