About this video

Initiate the technique with a lasso hook and get under the opponent. As they defend by extending their leg, insert your hook and go underhand, aiming to place their leg flat on the mat.

  1. Lift the opponent slightly and control their pants while extending your leg to apply pressure and force their knee down.
  2. Release the grip with your left hand and post on their leg, sliding your knee between their leg and arm.
  3. Transition to a seatbelt grip, ensuring your arm is deep across the neck. Instead of going under the opponent's arm, control their shoulder to prevent them from rotating and escaping.
  4. With the seatbelt grip secured, lay down, bringing the opponent towards you. Insert the left hook first, followed by the right hook.
  5. Open the opponent's lapel and feed it to your hand, ensuring your wrist is straight and angled downwards for a tight grip.
  6. Reach deeper with your left hand for a secure grip on the collar, keeping your shoulder on the back of their head.
  7. For the final adjustment, if needed, open your elbow and bring it back while adjusting your wrist to tighten the lapel and secure the choke.

This sequence allows you to take the back, secure hooks, and set up a strong finishing position with the lapel choke.
