About this video
Executing a bicep slicer from the lasso guard:
- Start by establishing a lasso guard and posting your leg to prevent the opponent from passing to that side.
- When the opponent pushes your leg down and moves to side control, this is the desired trap.
- Extend your leg slightly and close a triangle with your legs to control the opponent's posture.
- Insert your right arm under the opponent's arm and bring it as close to their shoulder as possible for maximum leverage.
- Release the grip on the opponent's hand and bring your left hand on top of your right hand, while keeping the opponent's arm trapped.
- Open your knee to lock the opponent's hand in place.
- Pull down with your right hand as much as possible, and then connect your left hand to your right hand.
- Open the angle by moving your hands down and forcing your knee towards the mat to apply the bicep slicer submission.
