About this video
Counter the leg drag pass when spinning underneath the opponent:
- As the opponent brings their knee into your neck and sits down, they compromise their base.
- Prevent the opponent from rebuilding their base by holding onto the leg they used to sit down.
- Change your grip to the opponent's other ankle while keeping your hips elevated and your shoulder up.
- Use your right shin under their knee as a lever to knock them over if they attempt to come back on top.
- After knocking them over, bring your foot back inside to facilitate standing up.
- If necessary, release the collar grip and place your hand on the mat to assist in standing up quickly.
- Push off the mat with your hand while maintaining control of the opponent's ankle to get on top.
