About this video
Revisiting the leg work from the Jedi Mind Trick, the technique is applied from the Leg Bundle Sweep. Begin with a deep grip on the opponent's hip, shoulder inside, and hand locked to the outside of their pants, or cupping the hip bone in no-gi. When attempts to come up are countered by a whizzer and the opponent's strong base, the next step is to bounce the opponent on top and close a triangle over their knee line.
- Ensure you have the desired underhook and then release the top leg while the bottom leg continues to manage the opponent's legs.
- Hook the released top leg behind both of the opponent's legs.
- Bounce the opponent again, lifting and pushing their top knee open to achieve the preferred leg configuration: their leg, your leg, their leg.
- If needed, use your hand to help release your head and elevate.
- Place the hook behind the opponent's knee, hide the bottom leg with toes on the floor, and transition to the top position.
