About this video

Option to shoot the lasso leg through for a triangle or omoplata:

  1. Start with a lasso, ensuring it is a normal lasso where the foot hooks through towards the opponent's armpit.
  2. Create a hook over the opponent's elbow with the forearm in front of their forearm to prevent them from pummeling their hand through.
  3. Extend the lasso leg through and bite it down over the opponent's back. Remove the foot from their bicep and cross the leg over, setting up a triangle position.
  4. If the opponent's hand is tucked behind their back to defend the triangle, consider transitioning to an omoplata.
  5. To transition to an omoplata, use the right hand to push the opponent's neck away, pass the leg over their shoulder, and lock the triangle over their shoulder.
  6. From this position, proceed with the omoplata finishing options.
  7. To attack the triangle, let go of the lasso sleeve, hook the tricep, extend the lasso leg through, lift the hips, and bite the leg down over the back.
  8. Lock the ankles and either lift the hips to move the opponent's arm across the hips for a triangle finish or push the neck away and pass the leg over the shoulder for an omoplata.
