About this video
Option to shoot the lasso leg through for a triangle or omoplata:
- Start with a lasso, ensuring it is a normal lasso where the foot hooks through towards the opponent's armpit.
- Create a hook over the opponent's elbow with the forearm in front of their forearm to prevent them from pummeling their hand through.
- Extend the lasso leg through and bite it down over the opponent's back. Remove the foot from their bicep and cross the leg over, setting up a triangle position.
- If the opponent's hand is tucked behind their back to defend the triangle, consider transitioning to an omoplata.
- To transition to an omoplata, use the right hand to push the opponent's neck away, pass the leg over their shoulder, and lock the triangle over their shoulder.
- From this position, proceed with the omoplata finishing options.
- To attack the triangle, let go of the lasso sleeve, hook the tricep, extend the lasso leg through, lift the hips, and bite the leg down over the back.
- Lock the ankles and either lift the hips to move the opponent's arm across the hips for a triangle finish or push the neck away and pass the leg over the shoulder for an omoplata.
