About this video
Executing a snap down to take the back from a two-on-one grip:
- Start with a strong two-on-one grip, controlling your opponent and maintaining head position.
- Perform a stutter step while pulling your opponent's hand down to the mat. Secure their wrist with your hand to keep it pinned.
- Immediately begin circling towards your opponent's back, reaching for their far waist.
- Be prepared for your opponent to circle into you. Ensure your timing is precise to maintain control.
- If your opponent turns into you, transition to another attack such as a single leg or a blast double leg takedown.
Maintaining control and adapting to your opponent's reactions are key to successfully taking the back or transitioning to other attacks.
