Blast Double Takedown:
- Start with a mirrored stance: if your opponent's right leg is forward, your right leg should be forward. Ensure you are close enough to touch your opponent.
- Perform a feint to mislead your opponent. This involves a slight movement to create a reaction.
- Execute a level change by lowering your stance. You can either shoot to the knee or step in directly.
- Drive your forehead into your opponent's chest while penetrating forward. This ensures a strong and safe takedown, minimizing the risk of a guillotine choke.
- As you drive through, you may transition to a single leg if the blast double is not successful. This provides an alternative takedown opportunity.
- Repeat the sequence: feint, level change, and blast through with your forehead to the chest.
This technique is effective and safe, commonly used by high-level practitioners like Kainan Duarte. It can also set up other takedowns, such as transitioning to a single leg.
