About this video

Single Leg Drill:

  1. Start with your partner standing square. Position yourself on one knee, holding a single leg.
  2. Take a big step with your heel first, followed by your toe, and then your knee. Aim to place your knee just in front of your partner's toes, avoiding stepping on their foot.
  3. Maintain good head positioning throughout the drill. Begin with your ear touching your partner, transition to your forehead, and finish with your other ear touching as you move around.
  4. Keep your back hand on top while holding the single leg. Sweep to the other side, reaching for the far leg, and swing your hips out while keeping your head connected.
  5. Ensure your posture is aligned: head, hips, and knee should be in a straight line. Avoid having your head too far forward.
  6. Repeat the step, heel, toe, knee movement, maintaining head connection and reaching for the far leg. Sweep all the way to the other side.
  7. Practice the drill slowly at first, then gradually increase speed for smoother execution.
