Single Leg Dump Technique:

  1. When securing the single leg, ensure the back hand is on top to prevent the opponent from easily pulling it off.
  2. Maintain proper body positioning by facing more in front of the opponent, not directly towards them. Keep the head high to avoid the opponent pushing it down.
  3. Apply pressure with the shoulder on the opponent's hip, not the head. This increases the effectiveness of the dump.
  4. To execute the dump, make the opponent hop by stepping forward with the outside foot and stepping back with the inside foot while pushing with the head.
  5. Combine the shoulder pressure with the hopping motion to make the opponent fall. Ensure the shoulder is pressing down as the opponent hops.
  6. After the opponent falls, land with a stable base ready to control them. Avoid falling with the opponent to prevent them from using momentum against you.
  7. Be prepared to control the opponent if they attempt to stand up immediately after the dump.
