The high crotch drill focuses on improving high crotch shots and overall shooting technique. This drill can be used for both warm-up and cool-down.

  1. Start on one side of the mats with your partner having one leg forward and one leg back. Mirror your partner's stance by placing the opposite leg forward.
  2. Change levels and shoot to the lead knee, ensuring your front knee penetrates through your partner's front foot. Aim to get your knee deep inside their leg for a deeper high crotch grip.
  3. After shooting to the high crotch position, let go and have your partner change stances. Repeat the shot to the other side.
  4. Focus on smooth and fast movements without worrying about setups or finishes. Maintain rhythm throughout the drill.
  5. If space allows, move all the way down the mat. If not, aim for timed rounds, starting with 30 seconds and working up to a minute.
  6. After completing your turn, switch roles with your partner and repeat the drill.
