About this video

Elbow Pass to Single Leg:

  1. Start with both you and your opponent having head control, a common tie-up in wrestling.
  2. Grab your opponent's elbow and pull it into you, creating pressure.
  3. Form a C with your hand and control their bicep, pushing it into their body.
  4. Maintain constant motion by pushing, pulling, and turning to create opportunities.
  5. Execute the elbow pass by saying "yes" (nodding head forward) and "no" (turning head sideways) to clear the elbow without making large movements.
  6. Keep your forehead in your opponent's armpit to maintain control and positioning.
  7. As you pass the elbow, continue to push it across while circling to create an angle for attack.
  8. Reach for the inside of your opponent's knee with your free hand, crossing your arms in the process.
  9. Maintain the pressure on the elbow as you circle and reach, ensuring you stay in a strong position to attack.
  10. Once in position, pick up the leg for a single leg attack, keeping your head in the armpit for control.
