About this video
Transitioning to the Twister Hook when facing resistance during a Leg Drag attempt:
- Start by going inverted with grips established, preparing to execute a Leg Drag.
- If the opponent anticipates the Leg Drag and resists by stiffening their legs or pushing back, adjust your approach.
- Switch your grip and pump their leg to create movement, then slide your shin behind their leg to initiate the Leg Drag.
- As the opponent resists and pushes back, slide your shin up to the back of their calf or ankle.
- Reintroduce your right leg, placing it across their body to secure the Twister Hook.
- Maintain a flexed foot to prevent the opponent from easily kicking out of the hook, or lock a figure four for additional control.
- Use the Twister Hook as a pendulum to create momentum, allowing you to secure the Seatbelt grip and expose their back.
- If the opponent keeps you flat on your back, slide your foot down to their ankle and bring your leg in to facilitate the Twister Hook.
- Extend the opponent's leg and rotate to tighten the Twister Hook, ensuring it's not loose so they can't kick out.
- For extra security, lock the leg and pull it in, then use the leg as a pendulum to kick forward, secure the Seatbelt, and obtain the second hook.
