About this video

Executing the entrada to transition into a crucifix position involves capturing the opponent's arm between the legs. This can occur naturally during the chaos of arm drags. The goal is to secure the arm and transition smoothly into the crucifix.

  1. Begin the arm drag, ensuring the opponent cannot regain their weight over you.
  2. Slide your knee inside and clamp your thighs together to trap the opponent's arm.
  3. Advance your grip to the opponent's belt and use your forearm and hand to build a base as you rise.
  4. Release your feet as you come up to land in the crucifix position, focusing on pinching your legs to secure the arm without needing a figure-four lock.
  5. Establish a strong seatbelt control over the opponent, which is crucial for maintaining control.
  6. Modify the seatbelt by picking up the opponent's far wrist, allowing for additional control without concern for the opponent stripping your choking arm.
  7. Continue to arm drag as you come up, ensuring the arm is collected and maintain a strong seatbelt while covering the opponent's back.
  8. For added control, pick up the far wrist to prevent the opponent from escaping or countering.

This technique emphasizes the importance of maintaining control over the opponent's arm and using the seatbelt grip effectively to secure the crucifix position.
