De La Riva Guard Long Step Pass technique:

  1. Control the opponent's pants below the knee with your left hand and their collar with your right hand.
  2. Step over the opponent's leg with your left leg, placing your hips down to prevent them from lifting you.
  3. Switch your right hand from under the opponent's leg to their collar, ensuring your hips remain low.
  4. Use your right hand to break the opponent's grip on your ankle.
  5. Pass your right hand under the opponent's leg and grab their wrist to break the grip.
  6. Pull the opponent's wrist up to fully break their grip on your ankle.
  7. Fall to the side you control the collar, kicking your right leg out to facilitate the pass.
  8. After kicking your leg out, control the opponent's bottom leg by passing your right arm under it.
  9. Secure control of the opponent's hips and stabilize your position on the side.
