Knee Smash Pass variation from the De La Riva guard:

  1. Start by controlling the opponent's leg and head while in the De La Riva guard.
  2. Change your grip to control the outside of the opponent's leg.
  3. As you pull the opponent's leg towards you, move your head to the opposite side to avoid their defenses.
  4. Trap the opponent's leg under your armpit, using your triceps to block their movement.
  5. Transition your left hand down to control the opponent's leg from the outside.
  6. While controlling the leg, if the opponent attempts to escape, they will be restricted by your grip.
  7. Bring your left leg back and place it behind the opponent's legs, keeping your legs together.
  8. Shift your head to the other side to prepare for the pass.
  9. Pass your right leg over the opponent's leg and pull it forward to complete the pass.
  10. After securing the leg, jump to the opposite side to finalize the pass.
  11. Control the opponent's head, slide your hand under their leg, connect your hands together, and stabilize the position.
