Initiate the Reverse De La Riva position by connecting your feet together. Control your opponent's arm with your left hand by wrapping your finger around their arm and connecting it with your middle finger. With your right hand, control their triceps.
- Extend both legs slightly to force your opponent to react and move backward.
- As your opponent reacts, pull their arm down and bring their triceps towards you.
- Rotate with them over your arm, pulling them towards you as they react.
- Follow through with the movement to end up on top, as if you were going for a head guard and joining your hands together.
- Secure the head guard by placing one hand on the head and the other joining it to stabilize your position on top.
This technique allows you to use the opponent's reaction to your advantage, enabling a sweep that transitions from the Reverse De La Riva to a dominant top position.
