About this video
Securing back control and executing a triple attack sequence:
- Start by establishing control over the opponent's neck and waist, with one arm over the knee and the other arm covering your hand on their waist. Ensure only to cover your hand and not grab your arm to prevent the opponent from breaking your grip.
- When the opponent tries to block your hand, release their waist and control their neck instead. Break their waist control, extract your arm, and re-cover your hand.
- Trap the opponent's arm and fall to the side where your arm is over their waist. Place your leg over their body and use your foot on their arms to create leverage.
- As you pull their legs down, fully extend both legs to bring the opponent down. Then, place your top leg over their leg and use your foot to control your arm, trapping their arm in the process.
- Use your right arm to improve leverage and bring the opponent to the other side. Place your left foot on their arms and move their arms back to pull their arm towards you, setting up a triangle choke.
- After locking the triangle, keep your foot flexed and not flat to maintain pressure. Control your arm, pull it towards you, and squeeze your legs together to finish the triangle.
- If the opponent is very flexible and doesn't tap, adjust by controlling their arm with your hand, passing your arm through, putting your shoulder on the mat, and closing the triangle.
- Another option is to use both hands on their arm, bring it up, and try to reach for the shoulder, lifting your hips slightly to finish the submission.
- If the opponent protects their arm without engaging yours, maintain control by keeping your arm close and falling to the same side as your arm under their triangle. This prevents them from escaping to the side.
- Finally, secure the triangle by placing your right foot on their shoulder, pulling them down, and extending both arms. Use your arm to lever and bring them to the other side, adjust the triangle, and finish the submission.
