Continuing from the Reverse De La Riva position, control is maintained by gripping the opponent's shin and lapel. To execute the pass:
- Stay tight to the opponent, extend your leg, step in, and apply pressure.
- Because you're holding the lapel, the opponent will feel restricted and unable to extend their upper body.
- As the opponent starts shifting to one side, perform a long step with your leg, using their momentum to pass to the other side.
- When you sense the opponent is losing their position and attempting to recover, release your feet.
- Take advantage of the momentum created by the opponent's movement to complete the pass.
