About this video

Counteracting a strong whizzer from the dogfight position with a limp arm technique:

  1. Start by entering the underhook and raking the opponent's leg to come up to your knees.
  2. When the opponent applies a heavy whizzer, driving your face towards the mat, prepare to counter.
  3. Release the underhook and bend your arm so that your knuckles point towards the opponent's buttocks.
  4. Drop your shoulder, leading with your elbow, and perform a large circular motion with your hand to free your arm.
  5. Immediately transition to a back attack position as your arm comes free.
  6. Remember, the stronger the opponent's whizzer, the more effective the limp arm will be due to their forward momentum.
  7. After executing the limp arm, be ready to move quickly to either take the back or continue with a takedown.
  8. Practice the limp arm with exaggerated movements during drills to ensure effectiveness during live situations.

This technique allows you to counter a painful and controlling whizzer, potentially leading to a sweep or back take.
