About this video

Initiate the technique by driving forward to the right side, prompting the opponent to resist and push back to the left. As they push back, execute a backward roll over the left side while maintaining control of their leg to prevent them from passing guard.
  1. Drive the opponent forward to create resistance, simulating a knee tap attempt.
  2. As the opponent pushes back, roll backwards over the left side, ensuring the leg is controlled throughout the movement.
  3. Use the left hand to frame against the opponent's knee by making a 'C' shape with the hand and posting it on their knee during the roll to aid in pushing them.
  4. Keep a grip with the leg to prevent the opponent from regaining balance if they manage to stop the initial sweep.
  5. If the opponent posts their whizzer hand to the mat and stabilizes, use the left foot to hip escape and apply pressure to their knee while pulling the underhook down.
  6. Continue hip escaping and turning the opponent's knee to complete the sweep and come up on top.
If the opponent has a strong base and stops the sweep midway, add extra knee pressure to finish the sweep. Most of the time, the momentum will carry through, but be prepared to hip escape if necessary to secure the top position.
