About this video

Utilize an arm drag to set up an armbar and establish an overhook for subsequent attacks. Begin by moving the upper body away and pushing the opponent's arm across, anticipating their resistance and using it to pull their arm into your armpit while controlling their elbow. Next, aim to place your knee inside their bicep and your foot on their hip, adjusting based on their arm's position.

  1. Push the opponent's arm and then pull it into your armpit, securing control over their elbow.
  2. Insert your knee on the inside of their bicep and place your foot on their hip.
  3. Position your other foot across their shoulders.
  4. Adjust the opponent's arm by twisting it with your grip, setting it up for the armbar.
  5. Apply hip pressure to execute the armbar.
  6. If the opponent counters by pushing their arm in, secure an overhook.
  7. With the overhook, you can transition to triangle chokes, omoplata attacks, or use a butterfly hook for sweeps.
  8. Even if the armbar doesn't succeed, the overhook sets up a variety of attacks including triangles, omoplatas, and sweeps from the butterfly guard.

This technique not only aims for a quick submission but also positions you advantageously for a series of follow-up attacks, leveraging the overhook to transition into other techniques previously covered.
