About this video
Executing the Outside Hook Sweep from the double sleeve guard:
- When attempting an overhead sweep and the opponent is resistant and remains stationary, transition to the outside hook.
- Maintain a tight grip on the sleeves while shifting your body to a sideways position relative to your opponent.
- Place an outside hook by lifting your partner's foot with your hooking leg.
- Release one sleeve grip and secure the opponent's ankle to prevent them from turning back into you.
- From this position, you have the option to either go towards the knee or the back.
- Finalize the sweep by moving into side control, maintaining control of the ankle to ensure the opponent cannot easily escape.
