About this video
Escape from a fully locked triangle choke:
- Position the inside arm low and walk the hand up on top of the opponent's knee until you can feel their kneecap.
- Place the outside hand on top of the inside hand to secure it and prevent the opponent from transitioning to an armbar.
- Drive the elbow of the inside arm towards the ground, pulling the opponent's knee down with it.
- Simultaneously shove your body in forcefully, keeping your knees and stomach off the mat.
- Ensure your left knee is in front of the opponent's buttocks as you drive forward at an angle.
- Keep your knees off the ground, place one knee down, and pop your head up.
- Expand your chest and apply pressure, driving in and pulling the opponent's legs down to force the triangle to open.
