About this video
Last resort escape from a Triangle choke when arms are crossed:
- Focus on the elbow of the arm that's across your body. Secure this arm with your inside arm to prevent it from blocking your next move.
- Posture up as much as possible, using the grip on the arm to help you come up.
- Step over the opponent's body with both legs, crossing them over their torso.
- Stretch your body back to create space and begin escaping the Triangle choke.
- If the opponent's body is angled in such a way that you can't reach across, secure the arm on the same side as your free hand to prevent them from blocking your leg.
- Posture up to your good side, sit, and turn your leg over their body.
- As you turn your leg over, use your arms to push the opponent away to prevent them from sitting up.
- Push forward to create distance, then cross your feet and extend your body back, laying down to fully escape the choke.
- Turn your leg out to finalize the escape.
