About this video
Escaping the Omoplata when the opponent has a collar grip:
- Recognize that if the opponent has a grip on your collar, it prevents you from standing up due to their body being bent.
- Focus on clearing the collar grip as a priority. Avoid grabbing fingers as it is illegal.
- Use the top part of your hand to apply pressure on the opponent's top finger on the collar grip.
- Push up against their hand to create pressure and break the grip.
- Once the grip is broken, adjust your position accordingly.
- Proceed to get up after successfully clearing the collar grip.
