About this video

Escaping the Omoplata when the opponent has a collar grip:
  1. Recognize that if the opponent has a grip on your collar, it prevents you from standing up due to their body being bent.
  2. Focus on clearing the collar grip as a priority. Avoid grabbing fingers as it is illegal.
  3. Use the top part of your hand to apply pressure on the opponent's top finger on the collar grip.
  4. Push up against their hand to create pressure and break the grip.
  5. Once the grip is broken, adjust your position accordingly.
  6. Proceed to get up after successfully clearing the collar grip.
