About this video

After clearing the opponent's arm, use the grip to apply pressure and go for a choke before transitioning to a Darce. Compress the opponent's arm and use your shoulder in their armpit to squeeze down and finish the choke. To increase the tightness of the choke and subsequent Darce chokes, hook the opponent's top leg with your back leg, bringing your knee in towards their head. This position compresses the opponent's body, making the choke tighter.

  1. Clear the opponent's arm and maintain the grip.
  2. Apply pressure with the shoulder in the opponent's armpit and squeeze down to initiate the choke.
  3. For a tighter choke, hook the opponent's top leg with your back leg.
  4. Bring your knee in towards the opponent's head to compress their body further.
  5. Lean in, squeeze, and place your head on the mat to finish the choke.
  6. If the choke is not successful, the position sets up an easy transition to a Darce choke.

This technique creates significant pressure on the opponent's neck and can lead to a submission or set up for a Darce choke.
