About this video
Breaking down a standing opponent using the twister hook:
- Start by controlling the back position with a body lock and placing one hook.
- If the opponent remains strong and resists the takedown, pull yourself up and place the twister hook.
- Fall slightly and connect your legs, spinning away from the opponent.
- Once the hook is placed, hug the opponent's leg and face away from them.
- Extend the twister hook to break the opponent down into the truck position.
- Release the leg and secure a seatbelt grip.
- Create a frame on the opponent's knee, push their hips down, and maintain back control.
- Repeat the process: place the hook, turn away, hug the leg, sit back into the truck position, kick them down, secure the seatbelt, and push the hips down to establish control.
