Handfighting to Rear Naked Choke (RNC) from the back:

  1. Start with a seatbelt grip while your opponent controls your choking hand with both hands.
  2. Release the seatbelt and use your choking hand to grab your opponent's hand from underneath, maintaining the hand under their armpit.
  3. Use a hook grip to push down on their hand, breaking their grip.
  4. Immediately pass their hand to your other hand, establishing a two-on-one control.
  5. With your free hand, break the second grip using a C-grip, squeezing their knuckles together.
  6. Control both of their hands with one hand momentarily, pinning their wrist to create an opening.
  7. Quickly slide your choking hand across their neck and grab their shoulder.
  8. Push their hand off with a C-grip and drive your choking hand deeper behind their head.
  9. Ensure your hand goes over your arm and grips your bicep deeply, not just with fingertips.
  10. Place your chin on top of your wrist to prevent them from grabbing your hand for a last-second escape.
  11. Squeeze to finish the rear naked choke.

Repeat the setup from the choking side:

  1. Remove the first grip and pass to establish a two-on-one control.
  2. Break the second grip, pin the wrist, and control the shoulder.
  3. Push their hand off, punch the back of their shoulder, and slide your hand behind their head.
  4. Squeeze to secure the submission.
