About this video

Placing the second hook when taking the back:

  1. Control the seatbelt tightly by keeping your chest glued to your opponent's back and your chin tight. This can be done with feet crossed or uncrossed, but ensure you are pinching on the top hip.
  2. If your opponent blocks the second hook by keeping their knee pinned to their elbow, hip in and stretch them out to create space. Attempt to place the hook in this space.
  3. If stretching them out doesn't work, use your left hand to open their knee. Try to place your foot over their knee and kick your heel down to break their blocking wall.
  4. If they bring their hand high to block, bring your knee back and walk your toes inside your hand to place the hook.
  5. Mix up the techniques: try placing the foot inside first, then high, or stretch them out and switch between high and low placements.
  6. While attempting these techniques, consider attacking with a choke to divert their attention from blocking the hook.

Combining these methods increases the chances of successfully placing the second hook and maintaining control over your opponent.
