About this video
Executing a reverse leg drag from the lasso position involves the following steps:
- Maintain pressure and circle your hand out of the lasso, grabbing by the knee while holding onto the collar.
- Bring your elbow down to the mat, back step, and drive your opponent's leg down to the mat.
- Instead of circling around, bring your right knee between your opponent's legs to set up the reverse leg drag.
- Stay on your laces to make it difficult for your opponent to control your foot.
- Secure an underhook and keep chest-to-chest contact for tight control.
- Step your left foot behind your opponent's ankle and step up to make them uncomfortable and potentially give up the pass.
- Go palm to palm and bring your left knee over your opponent's knee, sliding it down to their hip.
- Step over into the mounted position, keeping your laces on the mat to prevent guard replacement.
- Keep your knees pinched together and toes close to restrict your opponent's hip movement and maintain a strong mount.
