About this video

Enhance your guard passing with the knee circle drill, designed to transition smoothly into leg drags from either side. This drill is essential for developing ambidextrous passing skills, ensuring you're equally proficient on both sides.

  1. Start by simulating a Reverse De La Riva guard position, with both feet on the inside of your partner's knees.
  2. Maintain control of the side and the knee, mirroring the leg position used during actual passing.
  3. Execute a knee circle by rotating your knee inward, staying close to your partner's ankle throughout the movement.
  4. Transition smoothly into the Reverse De La Riva position and repeat the drill on the opposite side.
  5. Focus on keeping your knee near your partner's ankle to mimic the pressure and positioning of a real pass.
  6. Alternate sides with your partner for the duration of your drilling session, starting slowly to warm up.
  7. As you become more comfortable, increase the speed of the drill to enhance your reaction time and precision for actual guard passing scenarios.

This drill is not only a great warm-up exercise but also a tool to build the muscle memory and sharpness required for effective guard passing.
