About this video
Elevator Sweep from Single Leg X when the opponent is on their knees:
- Start in Single Leg X position with the opponent on their knees, disengaged from standing sweep attempts.
- If the opponent posts out with their left hand, control their tricep with your right hand, pulling it towards you.
- Simultaneously, grip the opponent's pant leg with your left hand.
- Place the foot that is on the opponent's hip onto the mat.
- Kick your right foot out at an angle to your right while pulling the opponent's tricep towards you, aiming to bring them onto their side.
- With the grip on the tricep, you maintain control, preventing the opponent from scrambling away.
- Proceed to come up on top, transitioning to Knee on Belly or settling for Side Control.
- Continue holding the tricep for a potential submission, such as an Armbar, by stepping your leg over the opponent's head.
- Eliminate any posting hand of the opponent to secure the sweep, using the pant grip and tricep control.
- After the sweep, choose between securing position or transitioning to a submission based on the situation.
