About this video

Anticipating the opponent's escape, secure control without the grip by reaching and lifting their leg, then place your foot on their hip to maintain complete control.

  1. As the opponent starts their escape, block their foot and reach for it with your hand.
  2. Place your foot on their hip to create a solid base and prepare for the submission.
  3. Slide your foot close to their hip while simultaneously straightening your entire body in one fluid motion.
  4. With your foot on their hip, elevate your body to go for the submission.
  5. For a stronger finish, ensure your foot is firmly on their hip to gain better posture and leverage.

Executing this sequence properly will allow you to counter the escape and transition smoothly into a submission.
