About this video
Escaping a leg attack involves a sequence of movements to prevent the opponent from securing a tight grip on your leg. Begin by clinching the leg that your opponent is attacking. Attempt to jump over to the other side to initiate your escape. If the opponent's grip is too tight and you find it difficult to move, the key is to lift your hips. This action makes it easier to maneuver.
- Lift your hips to alleviate the pressure and create space.
- Push on the opponent's body to create further distance and facilitate your escape.
- Once you've created enough space, jump over to the other side, clearing your leg from the opponent's control.
- After clearing your leg, push the opponent away to complete the escape.
- If the opponent's grip is not excessively tight, you may be able to transition directly into a top position and begin your own attack.
This escape technique is crucial for preventing the opponent from establishing a strong leg attack and allows you to move into a more advantageous position.
