About this video
Flying triangle from a single leg counter:
- Encourage the opponent to posture up during a single leg attempt by pushing their head upwards.
- When the opponent's head is postured up, prepare for the flying triangle.
- Use a motion similar to climbing over a wall to pull yourself up, placing both hands on the opponent's shoulder.
- Hook your inside foot on the outside of the opponent's body to prepare for the jump.
- As you hook your foot, simultaneously jump up using the opponent's body to climb and lock your legs into a triangle position.
- Ensure you do not fall onto your back when executing the flying triangle. Always protect your back.
- Once the opponent is down, push off with your legs, place both hands on your shin, and squeeze to finish the triangle choke.
- Adjust the triangle by pulling the opponent's head across if necessary to secure the choke.
