About this video
Executing a triangle when the opponent attempts to defend the arm:
- Start from the same position where you attempt a Kimura, but your opponent is aware and tries to defend their arm.
- As your opponent sits up to defend, clamp down your leg over their neck, placing their neck in the crook of your knee.
- Lock up the triangle by flexing the foot of the leg that's clamping down, ensuring a tight hold.
- With the arm still in your control, you have the option to pull their head to finish the triangle choke.
- Alternatively, you can continue to attack the arm you were initially targeting.
- If the opponent's neck is positioned correctly, minimal squeezing is required. Flex both feet and push down with the clamping leg to tighten the choke.
- To attack the arm, simply tip into it while maintaining the triangle position.
