About this video
Lapel Bow & Arrow Choke from the back using your own lapel:
- Start with your opponent's back taken, with both hooks in.
- Open your own right lapel and feed it to your left hand, which is already on your opponent's collar, over their shoulder.
- Ensure the lapel is passed over the shoulder, not underneath, for correct positioning.
- With your right hand, reach underneath your opponent's arm and grab their opposite lapel for a secure grip.
- Position the lapel tightly across the opponent's neck, with your left hand gripping it firmly.
- Escape your left leg to the side to create the angle needed for the choke.
- Pull the lapel with your left hand while squeezing your legs together to tighten the choke.
- If the opponent is resilient, intensify the choke by pulling harder and ensuring your legs are squeezing together to secure the submission.
